Connecting Back The Dots

Have you ever seen the Steve Jobs speech on Stanford University graduation day? Well, he told connecting back the dots, look backward in order to look forward? I am just wondering how many people still uses the skill you acquire during elementary school?

Oh yeah, this skills is useful for a lot of people, that is writing a composition, in truth, all my blog post is ultimate crappy because I never follow what I've learn back then. Well, they said to make a good quality composition using any language, first there's a good introduction. Usually, I don't have this, this introduction thing just made other visitors go and never come back. Oh yeah, this is cruel world, if you are not as good as others think, they'll never come back for more. When they says, don't judge a book by it's cover? It's a lie, first impression is the most important thing you have, if you don't have it, you ain't any good. I have almost forgotten what I've learnt back then,  I just know, the top paragraph is what makes someone interested to read further. It have to be good, snappy, and if possible good. I've received one of the worst assignment ever when I was 18, and till today, I would like to write back what Mr Tin, my English tuition teacher made me do then, write a composition about writing a composition. However, to my advantage this time, he will not be here be  the judge of my composition, but  you all will.  I never  underestimate  the high standard readers demand, that's why I don't expect too much.

Then, after that the body of the composition should be compelling, with a topic sentence and the derivation after that. It's should be properly punctuated, and up till today, I still am lack of this two. I still sometimes don't know which word to use and when to use it. That's why I use a thesaurus for my personal guide. It gives a lot of word, and sometimes when a word just don't sounds right, but the meaning is almost similar to what you intend to expressed, that will help a lot. Of course, if you read sufficient enough, the words will come out by itself. Of course, do some study about the topic you're about to talk about. Just don't copy it blindfolded, be a little original, and if you suck really bad, don't worry, your friend will come as your loyal visitor. Not only that, when you suck in a language, try your best in writing what you know, in your own way, and the world's literary is not that complicated, in fact, some people will find the things you wrote about really good, soothing, and easy to read. They don't really look for a journalist standard for amusement, they are just looking for something to pass their sweet time. I know, my English does suck, but there are still readers, this prove my point, don't it?   

I know, sometimes my composition may go out of topic, and trust me, I am unable to stop from voicing what I think about, usually I was given with a composition.  I do the mind mapping thing, popularized by Dr Tony Buzan, and it a best seller, I however find this method don't really suit me in Engineering purpose, but to write a composition, it does help. However, most of the time, even after proper planning, it always go out of topic. Sentences doesn't makes sense, because whatever ideas pop out, will be written out immediately. I don't know is this a bad thing, but hopefully it isn't. What to do, old habit dies with you.

As a conclusion, I would like to use as a conclusion as the ending, because I feels that I don't have a lot of time to write this and because I think I am satisfied enough to end this. So, for bloggers who are reading this, just remember what you've learnt in your past, and use it. Treat every post like it'll be judged by your teacher which gave you night mares. if it ain't good, it ain't worth it to be published. Thank you…. I know this post suck, but I would like to hear what you have to say to make it better. Honesty is what I wish for.
