The Sky is Falling
Wednesday, February 27, 2008Well, the clouds are definitely falling, and why? Election is coming, you can see all kinds of people up and running for it, and no matter how clean and classy the canditate looks it’ll always be dirty. I am writing this because I am a honest Malaysian.

Power is the most addictive thing on earth. From what we have seen, most of those who are in power architect history. First, there are only four PM we have, the first kick Singapore out because the leader there looks more like the leader of the nation rather than the actual leader of the nation. When we look back, and smile at it, of course we knew that other guy is somehow right.
What else? Oh ya, the status of bumiputera, I hate it, it sucks big time. Why? Well, we need to give at least 30% of all profits to them, company equity, and almost everything had to be passed to them. I am sure for those who is contemplating on buying a house where signs and symbols written there stating 5% discount for bumiputera lot. What the heck is that? Is steel, concrete, and formwork cheaper when constructing their houses? Such a horrible pilicy. Why do we need to pay more for something they pay less? If I am a contractor, which there’s a high possibility that I would be, I will not want to waste that money to make them happy, but it’s policy. 5% is a big figure, if you calculate it, one detached house costs about one million, if I have to give them a discount, gone were my downpayment for a new BMW, or my son’s college fund.
Developement halt when we let them become our middle-man. Ever heard of the term middle man? Well, the facinating thing is that all of the raw material in Malaysia for construction are held by certain people in power which give them obslete power. They control all the sand, cement and rock. How could they still be poor? Sarawak is almost the size of the other side, and all that sand can only be harvested by only a few, and suggesting had been made that we would like more people who holds the key to these things. Why? Well, rumor has it that we can only harvest it during office hours, with the presence of their agents to count the number of lorries. There’s no competition whatsoever. That’s why the river in Sarawak is getting shallow because the sand deposites is getting more. Their laziness cause environmental effect that made a whole port needs to be closed down because ships cannot dock, and construction halted!
If you follow closely the Linggam case, the real non government sensored report, we can really tell something is fishy going on with Malaysia judicary system. Its not just about the F word, but its also about a sure win for any court case where it involve someone in power. Its such a shame.
Education system sucks. Why do we need Matriculation and STPM? can’t we have just one? Why do I need to graduate at the age of 24 and the other non STPM students at the age 23, and those chinese medium at the age of 25? They stole our youth. When we join the frigging rat race at that age, isn’t we lack behind? What is the advantage? Of course, power comes to play too.
I don’t know what to add at the moment, written this during lecture, stealing school’s net posting this up. Well, let me end this post with simple phrase
Tom Dobbs: [quoting Benjamin Franklin] Politicians are a lot like diapers. They should be changed frequently, and for the same reason.
So, what are you waiting for? Go and select the person who is going to fuck up the country, no matter who you choose, it’ll always be fucked up!

Posted by clement at March 2, 2008, 6:41 pmI would say before the power, people normally want to get money first. And no one will ever say that they have had enough with money. I agree with you, whoever we vote, the country is still in the mess. The changes should be start right away from the roots.
