Someone is Going to get Killed

Earthquake, what on earth do we need to feel sorry for? If you must know, that is suppose to be earthquake prone area, anyone knew that’s a fact. Now, those contractors who build all that fallen building is on danger of firing squad. They found out that those contractors do not follow orders, killing civilian lives, in another term, manslaughter, and in another words… firing squad. 

Do you ever wonder, where does the money go? You give and give and what for? Food? That is food haven for God’s sake. Clothe? You think they go and run around naked? 

If you give it to ‘them’ now, this is an interesting question, who is them? If everything is destroyed, what good is money? Who gets more share of the money? Does the poorest of the poor gets less?

Oh, Myamar, no outside help is needed, so, if you give money… it’ll be an outside help. Your money will never reach them. So you’re donating to no one.  

If you were me

My uncle is trying to find fault with me, of course, what I did in my training will definitely cost money if I made them do the right thing. Little did I realized that the right thing are just something that isn’t done here.

Well, I am suppose to learn a lot of things in this,but I didn’t. Most of the things are the things I knew. Well here are just some things that I learnt on site.

Don’t expect quality for something you don’t intend to pay a little more for.

 I have just finished the book on engineering ethics, and well, I was thinking, if I were to sue everyone for the breach of contract, and it made me rich as hell, am I ethical?  Breach of trust has occoured here, and I am sure that not only I noticed that.

I don’t know who on earth spread rumors that the whole of Sibu, there’s just some place that have some better soil than others. Some will ’sink’ or I call it settle, that’s what the lay people is using any way. They believed that if the place was once a mount that has been leveled, the thing will not settle.

Okay, that’s bullshit. This is just what rumor spread for them to make more money, avoiding costly lawsuits and letting the buyers think that its just bad luck for them to get that!

 Insurance people does not dare to insure this kind of property because it is rubbish. Those underwriter knew that this would be a loss for them if there were to insure those post construction buildings. 

Oh ya, engineering ethics does not work here. First of all, there are no engineers involve after the design phase. 

The smart engineer is a genius. He helps approve all document that needed to be approved for a little sum of money. No soil report, no compaction, no curing, and mysteriously, there’s quality.

Don’t worry, the building will not fail, at least not for 10 years till one day it will be useless.

I’m Older

I was truning to 23 two days ago, and again, I was greeted from a stranger with an unknown number quite early in the morning. I was blur and sleepy, and yet, I told her that I like her.
